What's That One City Named After An Animal? Yup, That's Kuching
Hello, Cat Citizens! Since we have been busy with places in Bangsar, Subang Jaya and also Petaling Jaya, we think we should fly all the way to the Cat City and see what’s best for your furkids. Let’s start with Pet Shop / Grooming / Clinic / Boarding. That’s a lot of slashes you got there man.
1. Depo Cat Shop
Located in Jalan Datuk Patinggi Hj Abdul Rahman Yaakub, Kuching, Depo Cat Shop was established in 2008 under Primavet Animal Clinic (PAC) with 80% cats in this practice and in 2012, Primavet Cat Medical Centre (PCMC) was established for them to work exclusively with their cat patients. In 2015, they decided to move PAC to PCMC for a more effective management of their medical team. Depo Cat Shop only hire cat-friendly people who have dedicated their lives to providing care for your feline needs. With focusing only on one species means the vet is more informed about the issues regarding cat medicine & health and it maintains a dog-free environment for a calmer and less stressful for cats and also owners. Dogs are welcome daily 12 pm – 2 pm daily and throughout the public holiday.
PCMC is proud to be a member of International Society of Feline Medicine. Their membership keeps them up to date with all aspects of feline health and welfare in their effort to be a certified as a Cat-Friendly Clinic.
Pet parents should not be worry if their furkids undergo a surgery as they will use custom made equipment that is designed and scaled to fit the cat’s body.
Surprisingly, this is not only a pet shop and vet but they also have a unique boarding service because they cater for cats with health care
Services offer include:
– General health check
– Surgical facilities
– Gas anaesthesia
– Computed radiography
– In house Diagnostic Lab for Blood and Pathology
– Boarding (cat only)
– Pet Shop (Depo Cat Shop)
Animal lovers in Kuching City, let me present to you pet-friendly cafe that you can visit and play with furkids.
This is probably the most famous cat cafe in Cat City as it is the first cat cafe in Kuching. Meow Meow Cafe offers customers and visitors their coffee/tea fix and the company of six friendly felines ‘stars’. The cafe offers imported European coffee and tea, fresh homemade cheese cake, cupcakes, Blueberry cakes, English cheesecakes, and various more, served on cat-themed dining and drinking utensils. Jason also revealed that the cafe plans to bring in new food and drinks as often as possible. Customers can also book the cafe for private functions such as parties. On the ground floor, there is a pet shop offering mainly cat-related pet foods, accessories, boarding, grooming, health care products, salon services and various more.
